What are the eligibility requirements for students?
To be eligible for a J-1 Internship, students must be currently enrolled in a post-secondary institution outside the U.S. or have graduated within the past 12 months in a relevant field such as hospitality, tourism, culinary arts, or business. For a J-1 Trainee Program, applicants must have a related degree and at least one year of full-time work experience outside the U.S., or at least five years of relevant work experience if no degree is held. English proficiency and a strong interest in cultural exchange are required.
